Welcome to Snapleaf! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Snapleaf mobile application and related services (the "Service") operated by Snapleaf ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use Snapleaf. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- Notify us immediately at support@snapleaf.app of any unauthorized access.
3. Subscription & Payments
Free Tier
The free tier gives you a limited number of scans and diagnoses per month. After reaching the limit, you may either watch a rewarded ad to unlock additional uses or upgrade to Snapleaf Pro.
Snapleaf Pro
Snapleaf Pro is a recurring subscription that unlocks unlimited scans, unlimited diagnoses, AI Chat, growth timelines, ad-free experience, and other premium features.
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device's subscription settings.
- Refunds, where applicable, are handled through Apple or Google directly per their store policies.
- Prices may change with prior notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
4. AI-Generated Content
Snapleaf uses artificial intelligence to identify plants and diagnose plant health issues. While we strive for accuracy:
- AI is not infallible. Identifications and diagnoses may be incorrect or incomplete.
- Not professional advice. Snapleaf does not replace consultation with a botanist, horticulturist, or veterinarian. For valuable, rare, or potentially toxic plants, consult a qualified expert.
- No medical advice. Information about plant toxicity is for general guidance only. If you suspect ingestion or exposure, contact poison control or a medical professional immediately.
You use AI-generated outputs at your own risk.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of photos, notes, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process Your Content solely to provide the Service.
You agree not to submit content that:
- Is unlawful, harmful, or infringes anyone's rights
- Contains personal information of others without consent
- Contains malware, spam, or attempts to disrupt the Service
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Attempt to circumvent ad gating, usage limits, or paywalls
- Use the Service to transmit unsolicited messages or advertisements
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Create multiple accounts to abuse free-tier limits
Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, designs, logos, text, graphics, and trademarks (excluding Your Content), is owned by Snapleaf and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service uses third-party providers (Supabase, Google Gemini, Google AdMob, RevenueCat, Apple, Google). Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those underlying services.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- AI identifications or diagnoses will be accurate
- Defects will be corrected
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPLEAF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR PLANTS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Snapleaf, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@snapleaf.app. Provisions intended to survive termination (e.g., disclaimers, limitations of liability) will remain in effect.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
